Going For It ---Taking Advantage of New Opportunities

I am doing very well at my job. I launched a new division that has grown dramatically each year and has an amazing upside potential. With my business being so good my boss is of course very happy and he respects what I am doing. I can coast along and have my little business (actually not so little) and continue to do well. But that is not me. I want to be a leader in the industry. To do that I have to always look for new opportunities to grow my position. I am doing that right now. In later blogs if what I am working on happens I will tell you all about it. In the meantime suffice it to say it will be a big jump in my ability to grow my business.

Where are the opportunities for you where you work? Always be looking out for ways to grow your job.

Take on new duties. Now I don’t necessarily mean more work (not that you shouldn’t help out your boss wherever possible). What I am talking about are responsibilities that stretch you as an individual and make you more valuable in your place of employment and the industry. You will become more capable. And by doing this you’re sure to bring the attention of your higher ups.
