Knowing you are a procrastinator is really helpful to finding a solution. One of my goals this year is to loose weight. Don't we all seem to have this goal? It seems like it is always on my list. I actually went to counselor to figure out why I cannot seem to stay with a plan and cross this off my to do list. Well once I figured out that the problem was as simple as that I was procrastinating I decided that I had to fix this once and for all so that it would no longer hang over my head. I had brilliant reasons for wanting to accomplish this. So I had a strong why. Now I needed the tools. The first thing I did was join weight watchers. The second thing I did was hire a personal trainer. Now I am in the first week and I am keeping a journal of my food consumption and I have worked out 4 days in a row. Once with my new trainer. I will keep you posted on my progress.
As a procrastinator I have learned that I must immediately take action steps on my task or goal in order to make progress. I suggest to you that you take something that you want to accomplish and put a list of tasks together in chronological order. Then take immediate action on the first few steps. Then the next day a few more and the next day a few more till you complete the task. Start with something easy. As you develop the skill of accomplishing your goals without procrastinating you will get better and better at getting things done.
