Being A Class Act!

Recently I got into a tiff with a coworker.  It was blown way out of proportion, which was my fault as well as my coworkers.  Instead I should have not allowed myself to get engaged, but should have risen above the situation.  I should have decided to behave in a classy way and approached the situation from a win/win as opposed to an I win and you loose senario. This is one of the ways of being a class act.  Do not allow yourself to behave in a small way. 

I once worked with a woman who I always thought was a class act.  No matter how emotional and upset I would get over a situation she would calm me down and get me to give her the facts.  We would then figure out a solution to problem.

So being a class act to me is not getting bent out of shape over minor and/or major problems at work.

The Power Of Staying Focused!

I work with two men who I think have incredible focus.  One is my CEO and the other is VP of Sales for one of my companies divisions.  These two men do not waste time ever!!  It is really impressive how they stay on task and do not allow for meaningless conversation or non productive activities.  What I find very interesting is not only are they focused on their work, but only on what they perceive is the work that would most impact the results they want to achieve.  They are truly inspiring to me.  Let them inspire you as well.

Working On The Fall Collection Part III

Now that all the styles are complete we take them to Jessica for final corrections and approvals.  Many changes are made by Jessica to insure that we have captured her style.  The design team then incorporates these changes and the final collection is priced.  The design and sales teams review the collection to plan how it should be shown.  We make charts called descriptive lists that show sketches of all the styles by group.  We include including prices, colors, fabric, and back length information. These descriptive lists are given to buyers when we show the final collection.  Viola! Fall 2010 is complete.
